DIY Leather and Lace

Ok, your probably tired of seeing this Vogue pattern here here and here but I couldn't resist.  I really liked this leather and lace top and this dress but in person it wasn't as adorable, the leather looked fake and I figured I could do something else with my $160.00.  I used some of the left over fabric from this skirt and leather from ebay, shortened the peplum, altered the sleeves and created this cute little top for about $25.00 and considering it's one season lifespan, It was a no brainer.

The exposed zipper with a leather pull gives this top a lot more personality!
