I am completely in love with high-waisted skirts but have yet to find a pattern I like so I used Vogue V8773, added a high waist band, lining and shortened the length. I made it too small and had to add an additional panel which required me to add an exposed zipper, and I made it a bit too short which I can't do much about about it now. Other than that I feel with a little practice I will get better. I used a silk twill fabric that feels amazing and lined the skirt with satin. Pairing it with my husbands shirt gives it a bit more shape.
